Musée canadien des civilisations

It is museum day today only for me :P (Not international museum day!)
I really wanted to go for a visit Canadian National Museum of Civilization.
Last time, I went to National Gallery of Canada and I saw the unique shape building the other side from Alexandra Bridge.
I googled it and found that it is the museum I'm going today :)

So? Just GO.
I woke up at 7 am in the morning since I expect that few people are in the morning......I don't like to be among crowed with people.
I took bus 8 from campus station to Gatineau. It took me about 15 minutes and took off the bus right front of the museum.

This is the outside view of National Museum of Civilization.
It looks really nice and unique shape. I like the color of the building too. It's dark green and balanced in the environment.

Before I go into the info desk, I saw a horse carriage.
I wanted to ride on but it's museum day for me so I took this picture instead. Next time!

It cost $10 and got a stamp on my hand.
Now ready to enjoy!

I felt that I'm in an emergency situation before enjoying museum so I ran into washroom at first :P...and I saw these nice gorgeous bubblers.
Man....it's gold color...such a luxurious bubble.

This is one of sights inside of the museum.
The museum takes lots of space for nothing.
I love this space. (I wrote that I love taking space in my old posts.)
It make me feel open and give me more flexibility of understanding of something new.
The exhibition and galleries are surely most important but I think about the layout of the museum is essential too.

I went to see First Nation people's exhibition first in the ground floor.
I found this nice coloured glove made by First Nation people. I noticed the policy of their design for glove, cloths, and shoes focuses on the durability of items.
It's not easy to make another one by hand and it cost to get new materials too. Their goods are designed well and has naturalism reflected by their living environment.

Look at these shoes!...It's so cute but still not fragile design.
I want to get one for mens. (Tell me if you know one!)

Do you think I put a picture taken in another town at the night?.....No No....
The museum has real size georama! This is amazing! I felt I'm lost in the museum and got time slip in 100 years ago....
It is called "Canada Hall". I really recommend you to come here. I bet you feel the same feeling I got...

There is an exhibition about Nova Scotia too.
They displays the coastal fishery of NS and whale hunting.

Have you ever seen any Canada Post people delivering letters and percels by using Zeep?
I never so far. This is the old Canada Post delivery cars....It looks nicer than now actually :P

At the end of the museum, there is special exhibition called "Childrens' museum".
Everything here is pretty and small:) I found one traditional Japanese house there.

After visiting museum, I felt so much hungry and sniffing lunch place.
I found one cafe in the ground floor facing the river.
The cafe is very quiet and so gorgeous...I love to come here every weekend to work, study, or read books.

When I'm going back to home, I was thinking of using bus but I wanted to walk around the city so I decided to walk to home!
This took me almost an hour so please use bus if you're not confident with your toughness:P
On the way to home, there is a bridge called Alexandra. This is also known as "interprovincial bridge.
I'm crossing the border from Quebec to Ontario on this bridge....feel a little different?

This walkway passes the National Gallery of Canada and it's decorated nicely.
I love this stone pavement.

I think the Parliament is designed from here because it is so matched in the view.
What a accident if the architect didn't think about the view?
The colour of the Parliament stand out among the trees surrounding itself.

This is all the way of the bridge.......so long!

Me!

iPad at the end of the day:P
I went to Apple store in the Rideau Center since it locates on the way to home.
Just a look at the iPad........and....it is beautiful device!
I wanted to get one but I have to save money for next semester so just left it in the store with my pity:P
